My name is Dr. Ayman Daba and I am originally from Egypt. I live in the Chicago area and work as a Lab Consultant. Visit My Website
I studied at the College of Science, University of Ain Shames, in the department of Biochemistry. I did my master’s thesis and followed with a doctorate degree on the novel anticancer and medicinal values we can get from mushrooms.
I was so honored to receive a fellowship from the International Union Against Cancer (Switzerland) and was able to do a postdoctoral period in the Aarhus Kommune Hospital, now defunct. That led to a Fulbright Scholarship at the Wisconsin Lacrosse and Roswell Park Cancer Hospital where I was able to study how mushroom polysaccharides worked.
I then returned to Egypt and worked as a biochemistry professor in Alexandria and as the head of the Pharmaceutical Bioproducts Department Research Center.
Now I am back in the United States, raising my family and thinking about how I can bring my knowledge and experience into the world and make it accessible for anyone who shares my interests.
I dedicate this website to Dr. Suzan Daba, my aunt, who inspired me to cultivate a love for science and taught me the value of sacrifice. She is my beloved role model.
And, I thank my wife, Mira, who is very patient.
